As a career Human Resources Professional, I see a multitude of resumes on a daily basis. I am looking for professional, error free resumes that stand out from the rest.
Important Tips to Creating A Resume
Be accurate and avoid stretching the truth. It is important not to over exaggerate your positions and duties. More often than not it will be verified!
Jot down your day to day responsibilities as you accomplish them. This allows you to include items not listed on your job description that are assigned to you. An accurate description can go a long way towards selling yourself.
Spell Check, Spell Check, Spell Check!!! It is amazing to witness the avoidable misspellings located in resumes. Proof read, and read it again! It’s great to have someone read it to you as well.
